Here is sweet little Savannah Lynn. She was born on Sept. 4th, 2009 12:03 a.m. 5 lbs. 7 ozs. 18 inches long. We don't have babies this small in our family, so what a new experience for all of us. She was 3 1/2 weeks early. Stephanie was standing in line to get her Senior pictures when her water started leaking. Her pictures take on a whole new meaning. Stephanie was really tough with Leslie and Edwin's help as I stood in the hall and cried for the most part. I would peak in every so often. The cord was around her neck twice and her little face was some what blue along with a purple bruise on her forehead. She had oxygen on and off for the first hour and then she went under the heat lamp for 2 hours because her temperature was too low.
She has jaundice and they are watching her for that. We take her to get a pku at the hospital each morning. She has 3 pricks on her heel and hopefully only one more tomorrow morning.

Last spring, summer, and fall Dean and I put the
rock on the bottom third of our house.
The summer before we put new siding up and paint. Brock was a really good helper and would put the rock into his wagon and bring it to us.
The pond was started last spring and is almost
finished as you can see in the pictures. Yahoooo!
Next is a new deck in the back yard. Never ends,
does it? Oh, how do I enjoy the sound of the water flowing from the upper pond into the lower one. It's like music!!!

I redid the Women's bathroom at Mama's

Brock always gets his picture taken on the 4th of July at our front door. TRADITION!
We added Jaylee this year.
For a small town we have a lot going on, always a parade to kick the day off. Scott asked Dean this year to be his partner in horse shoes.
Indian Tacos is a must and waiting in line is worth it. We always watch the fireworks behind
Mama's Pizza. Birds eye view unless a train decides to come through!! We provide drinks, pizza and cheese stix and whatever else I feel up to making that day.
The 4th of July is one of 5 days out of the year we close, so it is a relaxing day with our family and friends. Dean did some painting at Mama's since no one was around. These are the colors, dark brown on bottom, deep red on chair rail and door jams, and tan on top. It really needs a
face lift.

Uploading pics shouldn't be this hard

I have alot I want to share and can't get my pictures to upload. I should have never installed
Kodak Easy Share. All the pics that Leslie downloads are easy to get to. I want to rip my hair out. Then I could use all of my Grandma Rilda's wigs she left behind.

Vasculitus not MRSA

It's been a really long month. Sitting home with feet up alot. I am still working on getting my legs better. I am now in Physical Therapy for wound healing. Is that crazy or what??
They had removed all the scabs to start a better healing. On each sore they put on pad with soft gooey stuff, then a zinc soaked gauz (it's cold and is the best) wrapped up the leg and then a disposal stretchy ace bandage over that. I have been going every other day to change the bandages. They are healing nicely, with a lot of pain and more itching. Vasculitus has no know cause of how or why behind it. Only new mommies are in a group that get it. Well that was 18 yrs. ago. lol I should never repeat this again the Doc. says.
I have had 3 rounds of steroids. Dean says they give me "ROID RAGE". They have made me
crouchy and really tired. I am on the mend and hopefully I can get back to normal (what ever that is). I have rented alot of movies, only do that at Christmas usually. "Australia" was my favorite. I am a addict to Face Booknow, it's crazy how much I love it. It's all Leslie's fault.lol

MRSA (What's that???)

We had a real fun enrichment day this month.
We made FREEDOM blocks and we turned them
around and used the back side for Nov. with
GIVE THANKS on them. We I am giving thanks
that I am a live even though I am a little under
the weather right now.

Well I have contacted MRSA!!! It's a staph infection gone bad. It is really ugly sores that
itch, have pus, a red ring on the outer edge and some of mine have a black scab center.

I have really researched this out. It was only found in hospitals and clinics etc. and few
years back. Now it is a nation wide epidemic. Shopping carts and door knobs can be a place to pick this up. I am not sure where mine came from. I pulled a lot of weeds in our back yard and had carpi's on, so the sores are only below my knees. I thought that I had mosquito or nat bites at first and then they starting looking bad, so I thought it maybe was spider bites gone bad. We went to Salt Lake for the week-end of July 11th for Leslie and Jason's sealing in the Bountiful Temple.

My niece Amy ( the RN) talking me into going to the doctor as soon as I got home. So glad I
went to see Dr. Meyers. He hooked me up with Meds which I was allergic to and we had to
switch the sulfa out for something else, plus he added a steroid (first time taking roids).
It makes me really tired and cranky.
I was having a great summer and really completing my to do list. That has put a damper on
my list. Scott gave me a real nice blessing and said this trial shall pass.
So what I have learned from this trial is... Wash your hands more than ever (say the whole
alphabet while washing) we need to wash longer than we usually do in our fast paced lives.
Take wipes with you every where and wipe down everything you are going to touch.
Always treat a scrap, cut, or bite right away. Remember your grandma's cupboard with
all sorts of ointments to make your scrapes burn and stingy?? The last thing don't put off
going to the doctor if it looks like MRSA. Had I known what this crazy thing was I would have
went a lot sooner.
Look it up and get informed on this one.
I have been using Young Living Essestional Oils on my legs. Dr. Meyers gave me the go on the oils. This web site realy helped me out www.oil-testimonials.com
Then I have ordered other natural products to clean with and a little steamer that uses 130 degree hot water that is suppose to kill everything. My to do list just got longer.

We went to the 2nd annual Stan and Louise Bullock Family Reunion in McCammon, ID this
last week-end. We met at noon at Kenny and Lynn's yard (great shade) and David's
family was in charge this year. They made
really yummy chimichangas and our family
brought fixings for tacos. Every one else brought
dessert and salads. Alan's family provided a fishing pond with cute buckets and bags to put
their toys from fishing in and also a pinata.
Then at 4 pm all the friends showed up for
the anniversary party we served cake, nuts, cream puffs and punch. Stan and Loiuse loved all those who came to celebrate.
It was to see old friends and hang with the family. A realbig thanks to Amy and Brian for letting us stay at the "The FYLNN Hotel." When I grow up I want a house like that!!
